Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, is an attention whore. When everybody is looking anxious at the Lebanese-Israeli border he has a simple, populist idea to fight the western world:

Since 8th June 2006 the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, has its own video-podcast. According to her spokesman it is the first time a head of government runs a video-podcast.
When he announced the podcast (just one day before the release of the first episode) the bloggers reacted mostly positive, but surprised. alphazeichen wrotes:
Video-vodcast is a modern medium, it is easy to use and gratis. (…) A good idea to make young people interested in politics.

I would say “media-chancellor” Schröder finally lost*. (..) THIS is target-group-marketing. The conservative CDU blogs!

This blog is an experiment. Some days ago I visited globalvoicesonline.org for the first time and was really impressed by the concept. Now I am trying to expand the idea for the German blogoshere. Therefor I will report about international blogging in German language and write about German blog entries in English.
Dieser Blog ist ein Experiment. Vor einigen Tagen habe ich globalvoicesonline.org entdeckt und fand das Konzept der Seite sehr ansprechend. Ich will versuchen, dieses Konzept für das deutschsprachige Internet auszubauen. Über Blogs aus aller Welt werde ich auf Deutsch schreiben und über deutsche Blogs auf Englisch.
